The Black Horse – Beamish.
For a private client.
A fantastic Gastro pub in the historical heart of county Durham. Once part of a small group of houses known as red row and rumoured to be where the famous bonnie Bobby Shaftoe eminated.
We turned a very small and quint country pub, into a fully serviced gastro pub without losing any of the intimacy. We liaised with the local planning authority to ensure that planning consent was granted for this ambitious project situated in a conservation area. We trebled the size of the existing development and occupancy and enabled the client to turn a pub struggling to provide a positive return into a business capable of flourishing with the best of them.
The rear extension houses a staircase to a private dining area on the first floor and opens up the spectacular views of the rugged County Durham scenery.
